In this installment of our Student Spotlight Series, we are excited to have Youth Impact Collective with us! In this interview, we cover everything, from motivations to impact, as a group dedicated to connecting youth with leadership and extracurricular opportunities.
Q1. Please introduce yourself and the mission of the Youth Impact Collective.
Hi there! I am a high school student from California who is running Youth Impact Collective! The Youth Impact Collective’s mission is to help fellow high school students like myself to find extracurricular and leadership opportunities, while also helping organizations find volunteers and supporters.
Q2. What inspired you to start Youth Impact Collective?
As a high school student, I have often struggled to find real leadership and volunteer opportunities in topics that I am passionate about. Through Youth Impact Collective, I hope that high school students will find it easier to find volunteer opportunities they are truly passionate about.
Q3. Why is it important for youth to be connected with organizations that match their passions and values?
I believe it is important for youth to be connected with organizations that match their values because they will be able to put the effort and skills they have to offer into it. Often times we find ourselves caring more and wanting to support topics we are passionate about. It is important for youth to help with these and gain new skills through these roles.
Q4. Can you share a story or example of a young person who found a club or opportunity through your platform that made a real difference in their life?
I have had instances when students DM asking for a list of organizations! I am really happy to see fellow peers passionate about certain topics and looking to contribute to the community.
Q5. How can organizations connect with your organization?
Organizations can connect with us by simply filling out the link in our bio! We haven’t been posting lately, but we will get back to it soon. We would love to collaborate!!
