Hi! My name is Jeremey and I’m a current high school senior. I’ve lived and grown up in the Pacific Heights neighborhood of San Francisco my whole life. Now that I’ll be going to college in the Northeast in the fall, I’ve come to realize that I haven’t been appreciating my hometown’s beauty as much as I should have been. I’m sending this post in because I’m hoping that when I, or one of my current classmates feel homesick, they can access these pictures and appreciate the beauty of the place they’re from.
Looking back at these pictures reminds me of the importance of stopping to savor and appreciate what’s in front of me. Over time, I think I’ve begun to take for granted my beautiful hometown. Despite walking past the same buildings, cars and roads each day on my way to school I never really stopped to take in the beauty of my surroundings. It is only now, after I’ve committed to the out of state college I’ve pined after for so long that I’ve realized I will really miss home.
