Golden (HUNTR/X)
I like this song a lot. The singing is incredibly done by EJAE, and although simple, the melody is clear and sounds amazing. The song itself has empowering and powerful lyrics.
Ordinary (Alex Warren)
This might be an unpopular opinion, but I personally do not like this song. The way he screams “the ordinary” in the song is pretty unpleasant, and although I know this scream is meant to represent strong emotions, it simply just sounds horrible and jarring. Additionally, the melody itself is quite repetitive and not very interesting.
Tears – Sabrina Carpenter
It’s okay. I don’t really like her new album; a lot of the songs sound pretty similar and the “clever” wordplay is more of just corny. I apologize if you’re her fan…
Manchild – Sabrina Carpenter
Again, not the biggest fan of her album. I fear I absolutely despise the part where she is not singing, and just speaking “stupid, or is it slow, oh I know what the word is!” It sounds horrible and I apologize but it makes me cringe and makes me want to rip my ears out of my head.
Your Idol – Saja Boys
Not bad. Though not my favorite. I know quite a few people who like this song, and I can understand the appeal, but it’s not exactly my cup of tea.
Soda Pop – Saja Boys
I think this song is overhated, because it was overplayed. It has a great melody and the instrumental really reflects the refreshing and bubbly taste of soda. I think it’s a well produced and fitting song for what it’s called. It’s a popular song for a reason and is very catchy.
What I Want – Morgan Wallen (ft. Tate McRae)
I like the concept of the song, but not the execution. The melody and instrumental pair really well and are good, but I honestly do not enjoy Morgan Wallen’s voice. It’s grating and not exactly my style to say the least. Also, the excessive auto tune placed on his voice is not very enjoyable.
Love Me Not – Raven Lenae
I like this song. It’s popular for a reason, and sounds good. I may have listened to it too much, but I do think it sounds a bit boring now. I love the remix she did of this song with Rex Orange County.
How It’s Done – HUNTR/X
I would argue that this is the second best song of the Kpop Demon Hunters franchise. It’s honestly pretty shocking how many songs from that movie are on this top 10 list. This song is good and showcases more rap than a lot of the other songs.
Lose Control – Teddy Swims
Wasn’t this song released two years ago? I must wonder why it is still being played in this day and age. Even when I heard this song in 2023, I did not like it. It sounds terrible. The chorus is just terrible and it melodically just sounds bad. I’m not sure how else to say it. The riff on the word “control” just sounds excessive and strange.
