The Bay Area in Photos: Raising Cane’s Evergreen Place

Author: Bryson Huang

The Raising Cane’s at Evergreen Place was the first opened in San Jose, and I was fortunate enough to go to the fast food restaurant on its opening day. The line was miles long, but we secured a spot and were able to try Raising Cane’s for the first time, and see what the hype was all about. It was very good. The chicken tenders were crunchy and tender, fries crispy and salted to perfection, bread buttery and fluffy. However, I was most curious about the sauce, hailed to be what made Raising Cane’s so popular in the first place. As I dipped my chicken tender into the sauce and bit into the combination, I felt a sense of… disappointment. It was, of course, quite good. But from the stories I had heard, I thought Cane’s sauce would be like liquid gold in my mouth. Let me be clear, it was good- just not as good as I expected. Overall though, I was very excited to eat here, and for good reason, because the food was great. Enjoy these pictures below.
