In the middle of Downtown San Jose, there is an anomaly. A giant, larger than life, version of the world’s most popular board game: Monopoly. Monopoly in the Park is a 930 square foot custom granite Monopoly game board, and Guiness Book World Records holder for “Largest Permanent Monopoly Board”, dedicated in July 26, 2002. The park is operated by Friends of San Jose, a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and protecting the huge Monopoly game board. Sit on a die, dangling your feet, as you view the following pictures.
