According to its Instagram (@downtowncampbellca), Downtown Campbell is a “small downtown that’s big in character,” a phrase which couldn’t be more true. Downtown Campbell is rich in flavorful restaurants and vibrant meeting spots, as well as historical landmarks. Some of these landmarks include the Campbell Water Tower, which represents the city’s agricultural history as a major fruit producer; the Campbell Historical Museum, based out of the city’s first public building, which served as a fire station, police department, and city hall; and the Ainsley House, the third house of Campbell fruit canning pioneer  J.C. Ainsley, who constructed this English Tudor home as an homage to his English Heritage. His home has served as a museum and had  been closed for renovations. However, it has reopened, and many events such as historic happy hours where participants can learn about the history of winemaking in the Santa Clara Valley, the history of criminology, etc while drinking wine, and a Gala celebrating 100 years of the Ainsley House are set to be held. If you are ever in the area, make sure to check out these incredible stops!
